Byron Bay, once a whale hunting ground in the 1950's and 60's is now one of the best places on the East Coast of Australia to view majestic Humpback Whales. During their migration season, Humpbacks make their way from Antartica to the warmer waters off Queensland and return with their young calves.

Whale watching from your sea kayak with Go Sea Kayak is a truly memorable experience. Humpback Whales up to 15 metres in length can pass within metres of your kayak while you are out on the Bay.

They are such inquisitive mammals that they will at times swim under you while kayaking and frolic very close to the shoreline in Byron Bay.
