Erin:

Our Canadian Import, Erin honed her skills white water kayaking in the rapids of British Colombia. Holder of Numerous safety certificates and experienced in search and rescue, you will definitely be in safe hands. Erin is currently studying to be a primary school teacher, enjoys long walks on the beach and possesses a wealth of knowledge on the history of Byron bay. Beware of her infectious laugh.

Dougie

Dougie “ The dolphin whisperer”


Originally from the central coast of NSW, Doug brings a wealth of experience on the water and a healthy obsession with dolphins to the table. A consistent volunteer with the dolphin research programme - Doug has a special knack for spotting dolphins and has been lucky enough to name a few of the locals.
His favourite quote: “Look after nature, cos nature looks after you”.

Emma With Elle Macpherson

Emma:

Local paddler Emma Williams joined Go Sea Kayak in 2010 whilst completing her Sports Tourism Degree at SCU and her Bronze Medallion at Byron Surf Club. Emma grew up with whitewater Olympians at Bonalbo and is known at Go Sea Kayak as a seriously good wave handler in the kayak. So much so that Elle Macpherson prefers no other paddler then Emma as her paddling partner when in Byron Bay. Emma is also known as one of the fastest Troop Carrier Drivers in Byron Bay and will have you picked up and ready to kayak before you can get the zinc cream on your nose.

Ashbjorn

Asbjorn “the Frother”


Hand-picked from Denmarks finest paddlers, Asbjorn comes in at an impressive Six feet and six inches. Years kayaking deep in the Fjords have turned him into a kayaking monster. He speaks four languages, is experienced in primary teaching and is a great motivator. Expect excitement, enthusiasm and a lot of splashing.

Kurt

Kurt Tutt:


Born and raised in Byron Bay, Kurt is the owner/ operator of Go Sea Kayaks. Well known as the town's champion surf lifesaver, a qualified P.E teacher and kayak guide - Kurt probably spends more time on water than land. This man runs a tight ship and as the area's emergency responder, you couldnʼt be in safer hands.

Karl

Karl:

Karl is the founder of local conservation NGO, 'Positive Change for Marine Life'. He also studies and works as a marine scientist in Australia and has always been intrigued by the natural world.

Karl has just returned from Japan where he also spent some time last year working towards viable, sustainable alternatives to the dolphin drive hunting that occurs there. He also examinined and researched overall biodiversity in the country, tour operators, captive facilities and the effects that nuclear contaminants are having on ocean ecosystems.

Roy

Roy:

Another Canadian import has slipped through the net. Hailing from Banff, Roy Reif will hypnotise you with his radio friendly voice whilst telling you stories of Byron Bay yesteryear. Roy is a local history buff and knows things about Byron Bay that even Byron Bay doesn’t know. Roy lost his travel bug in 2011 landing in Byron Bay being unable to leave since. With over ten years of kayak guiding experience behind him, Roy will ensure you come back from your tour relaxed full of Byron Bay insight.
